Ohio Google Summit

Join K-12 educators for the 13th annual ITIP Ohio Google Summit at the Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio. 2023 is a hybrid event, allowing presenters and attendees the option to participate live in-person or virtually with on-demand sessions. Choose from compelling concurrent and deep dive sessions about combining Google and Google-friendly tools with cutting-edge best practices in educational technology and great teaching! Sessions will be presented by Google for Education Certified Trainers, Innovators and Coaches, Google Educators, Technology Coordinators, Tech Integrationists, Principals, Curriculum Specialists, and most importantly, "Googley" classroom teachers sharing how they use Google in their classrooms.

New this year is the Google Poster Pageant! ITIP Ohio is excited to present the Google Poster Pageant as the 2023 pre-conference event. The Poster Pageant is a great way to kick start both your Google learning and your networking with educators from around the state. Additional details below.

Guess what else is new ... an Advanced Googlers strand! These sessions spotlight advanced functions of Google tools and allow presenters to focus on new and/or high-level features & practices.

Poke a Stick at It: Being a Lifelong EdTech Learner


What do you do when you don’t know how to do something? How we answer that will greatly affect how we teach and how our students learn. In this session we will explore what it means to "Poke a stick at it", share our own experiences, and gain lots of resources for becoming a life-long EdTech learner.


Eric has been in education for 31 years, and currently serves as a Technology Integration Specialist for SPARCC in North Canton, Ohio where he oversees Google for Education implementation, training, and support, as well as other technology integration initiatives. Eric is an authorized Google Education Trainer and Innovator, and provides training to schools, organizations, and conferences throughout Ohio and across the country. He is a co-leader of the Ohio Google Educator Group at bit.ly/gegohio. Eric runs the award-winning blog www.ControlAltAchieve.com where all of his edtech resources can be found, and is the author of the book "Control Alt Achieve: Rebooting Your Classroom with Creative Google Projects".

Pre-Conference Session May 15

Google Poster Pageant

All ITIP Ohio Google Summit attendees are encouraged to attend the pre-conference poster pageant! Begin your Google-tastic experience with informal, multi-table environment for sharing educational technology tools, programs, etc. and technology integration practice. This format is a great way to engage with presenters in small groups or one-on-one.

The pre-conference session is free with registration and will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky.
