The 2022 Call for Proposals closed on 2/10/22
Thank you to all who submitted a session proposal!
Presenter Eligibility: Presenters must be employed by a K-12 school district or educational institution.
Presenter Options: The 2022 Google Summit is hybrid, with an in-person and on-demand virtual registration option, so presenters will reach an expanded audience this year! ITIP Ohio is accepting proposals for BOTH in-person presentations and virtual-only presentations. See terms below for more detail.
Presenter Terms for those presenting in-person:
In-Person Presenters: Lead presenters for accepted proposals will receive complimentary in-person conference registration by agreeing to the following:
Present at least one live, in-person session.
Prior to the start of the conference, submit a pre-recorded video of your live session to be included in the virtual component of the Google Summit. Video should be at least 20 minutes, but no more than 45 minutes, in duration. Deadline to submit the video is April 15th.
Give ITIP Ohio permission to use the recording.
Presenter Terms for those presenting virtually:
Virtual Presenters: Lead presenters for accepted proposals will receive complimentary virtual conference registration by agreeing to the following:
Submit a pre-recorded video of your session to be included in the virtual component of the Google Summit. Video should be at least 20 minutes, but no more than 45 minutes, in duration. Note: There is no live component for the virtual presentations as all virtual sessions are pre-recorded for on-demand viewing. Deadline to submit the video is April 15th.
Give ITIP Ohio permission to use the recording.
1. Know Your Audience
Educators from around Ohio and beyond attend the Ohio Google Summit. Attendees include:
Teachers, faculty, K-12
Principals, assistant principals
Tech integration specialists, media specialists
Consultants, trainers
Curriculum coordinators, specialists
Tech coordinators, specialists, facilitators, directors
Superintendents, assistant superintendents
2. Pick Your Format
Choose a session format that best fits your presentation style and content.
Concurrent In-Person: Interactive 45 minute session
Concurrent Virtual: Pre-recorded, 20-45 minute video
Deep Dive: (In-person sessions only) Interactive, 110 minute hands-on session that allows for a more focused, in-depth exploration of a topic. Presented in a limited classroom setting & double the length of a regular session, attendees engage in hands-on opportunities to learn, create and plan for implementation of the featured technology tool(s).
3. Choose A Strand
Select a session strand from one of the following five areas:
Productivity: offers examples of how Google applications can help to manage workflow, increase efficiency and/or streamline a process or task
Classroom Integration: features a lesson, practice or instructional model that integrates Google applications
Elementary: spotlights a K-4 specific lesson, practice or instructional model that integrates Google applications
Case Studies: shares how Google applications have impacted student learning where presenters reflect upon successes and challenges of implementing a program or initiative
What's New with Google? session spotlights a new feature or function of Google tools, services or integrations with other apps or services
4. Complete Your Proposal
Proposal form asks for the following information:
Contact information
Session format (options above)
Session strand
Session description (limit to 120 words & be sure your topic relates to Google tools/services)
Conference strand (options above)
Date preference (in-person session proposals only)
Complete an application form for EACH proposed session
Submit your proposal by February 10, 2022

5. Check Your Email
Proposal submitters will be notified if their session was selected by mid February.
In-person presenters will need to supply their own laptop, Chromebook, etc. and the necessary adapter to connect to an LCD projector.
