Build a Collaborative Classroom and Increase Productivity using OneNote
Want to go paperless? Looking for a way to revolutionize your teaching and learning? Experience the power of Microsoft OneNote, a free tool that takes digital notebooks to the extreme while keeping everything together on all of your devices. Organize, create, and collaborate anytime anywhere with text, audio, video, files, digital ink, and so much more! Participants must bring their own laptop, have the OneNote desktop app installed, and have an Office 365 account.
Office 365 provides staff, faculty, and students at your school with free email, online document editing and storage, IM, and web conferencing. Join us as we explore this robust suite of applications. Participants must bring their own tablet or laptop and have an Office 365 account.
Microsoft Innovative Educator
K-12 Teachers- Join us for the Microsoft Innovative Educator class to learn more about Microsoft’s hottest tools and resources to empower your students to achieve more! Bring your own Windows 10 device to this one-day professional learning experience to learn how to maximize your use of Windows and take an immersive deep dive into the new Microsoft Classroom in Office 365 for Education. You will get the opportunity to explore tools such as OneNote Class Notebooks, Docs.com, Office Forms, Sway, and Office Mix, including how to provide your students with learning experiences beyond the four walls in your classroom using Skype in the Classroom and the online Microsoft Educator Community. Participants must bring their own tablet or laptop and have an Office 365 account.
Minecraft: Best Practices in Game and in Class
This workshop will help teachers both understand Minecraft and how it can be used in the classroom. We will cover the basics of the game including how to get started with Minecraft, how to play, and setting up and running a server. The workshop will strive to be as hands-on as possible to give participants the opportunity to learn about Minecraft as we play so that we can better experience what makes the game such a phenomenon with our students. Participants must bring their own laptop (preferred) or tablet, have Minecraft installed on the device (https://minecraft.net/en/), and have a Minecraft account.
Microsoft Technical - Office 365 Administration Tips and Tricks & Windows 10 Anniversary Update & Deployment Options
Office 365 administration has new features added continually to streamline administration of your environment. Get an overview of the latest administration feature additions and review some tips and tricks for overall management of an Office 365 environment. We will also cover what’s new in Office 365 – Teams, PLC Groups and more. This session will also explore many of the new features of the Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary update such as “Take a Test” lockdown configuration and others. Then we will go through the Microsoft Windows 10 deployment tools - WICD, MDT and others. If you are looking to roll out Windows 10, this session will help you understand the options and tools you have.
